The YM-S100 is a handheld COB fill light built to imitate daylight, with a CRI 95+ integrated COB chip and an adjustable colour temperature from warm tungsten to cool daylight. CRI 95+ is the number that matters on a light this size: it means skin tones, fabric and product colours render close to how they look to the eye, instead of the greenish cast cheap LED panels give you. It runs off its built-in rechargeable battery outdoors and off mains power in the studio.

How to Use It

Press and hold the knob to switch the light on or off. A short press cycles between colour temperature, brightness and strobe. Turn the knob to change the value — the display shows H when you are adjusting colour temperature and L when you are adjusting brightness. To power on from cold, press the knob in and rotate it two to three turns.
