The Yesido KM17 adds CarPlay and Android Auto to a car that never came with it. It is a 7-inch touchscreen that sticks to the centre console and runs off the cigarette lighter socket - no wiring, no dashboard removal, no trip to an installer. Your phone connects over WiFi and Bluetooth 5.0, and maps, music, calls and messages appear on the screen instead of on a phone propped against the gear stick.

Use the FM or AUX Output, Not the Built-In Speaker

The onboard speaker is 2W - fine for a navigation voice telling you to turn left, not for music. For anything you actually want to hear, run the 3.5mm AUX cable to your car stereo, or use the FM transmitter to send audio to your radio wirelessly. Both route the sound through your car's actual speakers. This is the single thing that decides whether you are happy with the unit, so set it up that way from day one.

What It Can and Cannot Do

The KM17 is a display for your phone, not a standalone Android tablet. With 64MB of memory it does not run apps on its own - everything comes from the phone, which is exactly how CarPlay and Android Auto are designed to work. What you get is your phone's navigation, music and calls on a proper screen at eye level, in an older car, for a fraction of what a fitted head unit costs.
